So Virgin acknowledge the issue with everyone's firmware. And say the only way to fix it is to put 1 pc into the DMZ, risking security, or buy a VPN. Then offer me £10. unbelievable.

Id flagged on these forums and when i complained that DMZ and VPN seem to fix the issues
Now they offering that as advice rather than roll back duff firmware- unisoftSuper solver
Based on historic evidence on this forum for other firmware issues, you are looking at a wait for months for their manufacturer, Sagemcom, to fix and test. If enough raise an OFFICIAL complaint, they might do a roll back.

Hey NurseK, thank you for reaching out and we are so sorry to hear about your connection issues.
We've checked the account and we can see you've spoke to the team since this, did they manage to resolve stuff for you?

Turns out Virgin borked the update, and as above a pc in the dmz fixes the issue, its UPNP thats broken.
Come on Virgin sort your stuff here... we pay you enough..

Also I noticed the MTU was 2000 and not 1500 as it was prior....
I'm FTTP pole, < 2 years installed...
Kids still going nuts, getting kicked out of fortnight and WOW..

I did see lots of other posts with the same issue.
I'm not expecting a fast resolution.
It doesn't help the router logs being spammed every 15 minutes with erouter0 ipv6 address is empty ..... But I'm sure thats another issue...maybe.
