2.4GHz issues

Not sure if this is the right place to ask for some support?

I've just bought a WiFi printer that only works on 2.4Ghz. When I check my router, 2.4 is disabled.

I enable it, apply changes it says it's saved. However when I go back into the settings it's disabled again.

Tried all the usual power of/on, reboot, reset etc. The setting just won't stick. Does this mean I have a faulty router?

DId you disable the "Smart Optimisation" before doing any of the settings?  This needs to be off before doing any changes.

Are you using the Connect app,  as it is known to reset the Hub to out of the box settings.

Been through all the settings and not seeing a smart optimisation.

The only thing that's close is Smart WiFi - but that's just to do with channels.

      Not using the app.

Turn off "Smart WiFi" it’s not very smart at all and is most likely causing your problem.

When you performed the factory reset, did you ...
    1) press RESET for 60 seconds
    2) and then leave the Hub powered on to revert to the shipping condition.

If YES & the 2.4GHz band does not remain enabled,
I suspect the defective Hub needs to be replaced.

If NO, try this process it does differ from the VM notes.

VM may not see a problem if there is no problem due to wifi works just fine you can look to get your own wifi router with 1Gb ports and use hub in modem mode.
