The Hub admin menu at 192.168.0.1 is an HTTP address, it is normal for it to show as not secure.

Tell you browser to proceed & ignore the warnings.   All will be absolutely fine.

Below is a screen shot of our Hub 3 admin menu.   Note the padlock with a red strike through just to the left of the 192.168.0.1 URL .... it is not secure for everyone.

  • check the date and time are correct as well as the timezone as browsers wont work if its not right. The BIOS may have been reset in repair and in turn the time and date would be lost but should be put right prior to giving it back. good luck

      Err, why?

You are aware that certificates only work against hostnames, not IP addresses, yes?

To reach 192.168.0.1  the computer must not be using :
a VPN or Apple Relay or Norton Anti Virus with a web proxy or an Android DNS changer.

I finally managed to connect and access, changed password but now have problems with Guest Network which is not working, I have tried using new password  etc., but no luck.

I disabled Guest network  then enabled it again   it but still cannot use guest network.

Just once our VM Hub selected channel 13 and some of our Wi-Fi kit can not use that.
        Check the main Wi-Fi for 2.4GHz is using a preferred channel i.e. : 1 or 6 or 11.

Check the Guest Wi-Fi has Security : WPA2-PSK   ( ONLY ) for best compatibility.

Failing this I am out of ideas.

  • In addition to the other helpful responses, a couple of things to try:

1 - assuming you are on a windows 11 pc - go to settings, network and internet, advanced network settings, hardware and connection properties. Have a look for ipv4 default gateway, and see what the ip address is. The DNS server is the same as well if you haven't changed it to something else. I'm using a separate router so can't check, but the ip address there is typically your hub if you are using that as router as well as modem, and is what you are after.

2 - the old turn the hub off and turn it back on.

Getting a "not secure" message sounds like a security issue somehow. Have you a different browser to try just in case it is a setting or cache in your main browser?

A member of my household uses a mobile phone, I only use the landline.. The are connected to the wi fi but the system is asking for a security key for him to access the mobile phone, I do not have one, I am very concerned  and would welcome some help.

      I am using Windows 10

The  phone is now on its way for repair, I am concerend that it may have been hacked.I have internet security and VPN and run a scan, etc.,  evertime I use it  and everything appears to be okay.

Could someone kindly say how I can upgrade from the HUB3 which I have at present, I am so fed up with  having to change passwords and carry out re-sets after receiving  the 'insecure' warning when logging into 192.168.01,  I finally managed to sort this out but others in my household  cannot connect apps.

I have read that one has to upgrade their package  to get the HUB 5 which is a joke.

I will be glad when my contract runs out later this year as I will not be re-newing.

Be sure to Disable Parental Controls in the VM online account - this will block access for many mobile apps and to many websites / video or VoIP calls / social media / TV streaming / games etc.

ALL VM HUBs have the admin menu at http://192.168.0.1 an insecure address, a change of Hub will not change this.  We have zero difficulty using the Hub menu from a Windows computer using Edge and Firefox & we have not changed the passwords for years.
