Upgrade my Broadband and add two volt sims

My broadband is due for renewal and want to do it it via app online

Also I want to add two volt sims for myself /wife also but can only do one

Both sims are with O2 and out of contract

Solution

Do I need to do just one from the account holder then speak to O2 to have the other one added later..seems like a faff! ?

Any assistance would be appreciated

Thanks

  • Hi deputydawg thanks for your post here in the Community - welcome!

So you can have Volt boosts on multiple SIM cards as long as each account holder's address is linked to a Virgin Media address so yes, you can both receive a Volt boost!
You can only purchase one SIM through us per account though so yes you'd need to contact O2 directly for the other.

I hope this helps and their contact methods are here.

    Many thanks

    Hi deputydawg

I suggest you look at /uswitch.com/mobiles/compare/sim_only_deals/o2/ before you contact O2 about new sims because you said you are out of contract with O2, and compare those prices with the ones on the O2 web site. The offers on uswitch are a lot cheaper than going directly via O2.

With uswitch.com, you get the option to login to your O2 account, then if you select that you don't want a new SIM card sending out it lets you keep your current O2 number and starts a new 12 month contract at that new price which nulls out the price you were paying O2.

I changed my O2 sim via uswitch and am now paying O2 £10 a month for 50GB which was boosted to 100GB so I retained my Volt benefits with both O2 and VM. (uswitch don't currently have the 50GB offer, instead they are offering 60GB (which would be boosted to 120GB for £9.99 a month)
