How to order WFI Pods

Hi,

I have a dead spot in the Wifi in my house and have been trying for sometime to get a POD to see if this will resolve the issue. I have run the App signal tester and this indicates there is an area with poor a wifi signal. When I do the test then go to the WiFi max web page all I get is a blank screen as shown below. I have contacted VM via the chat line a number of times and they just tell me to carry the same procedure, which I do but with the same result, the blank page shown below! Can anyone please advise on what I can next to resolve my problem. I have one POD already which covers one side of my house but it does not extend the signal to the rear.

    If you can’t get it working I’d just wait here a few days for a VM Mod to pick this up and discuss directly with you.

    Sorry to hear of your WiFi concerns in another area of the home. 

    When you run the Connect App tests for the WiFi, what result do you get? You can post your results here.

      As VM has gone quiet, Back to my original question can any one please tell me how to get hold of a pod so I can at least try to resolve my issue? Everything that has been suggested I do, I have done a number of times before and after I posted here on the forum with similar results.

    thanks for getting back to me. 
    when I run a speed test in my kitchen the speed seems to vary quite a bit, but it is always a lot slower than the rest of the house. When I tried to run the scan today it actually dropped out all together and switched to 5G screenshot below, the last test I did successfully was 91mb download 65 up. As I sometimes work from home and set my computer up in the kitchen it is not ideal when the WiFi keeps dropping out. Any help would be greatly appreciated

      Our WiFi guarantee is 30mbps, there is more information here 

      You mentioned the speeds vary, does this ever drop below 30mbps in that room?

      We're sorry to see the connection was lost when trying to run the test. Could you please try this again and post the results of the speed test here for us?

        This is the result I get every time I run the test, as I walk across the kitchen the WiFi Signal gets weaker and weaker then drops out all together. Last test I ran at one side of the room I was getting 91Mb and at the other no WiFi connection. This is the reason I was requesting an additional pod to see if it resolves the issue like the one I have installed upstairs.

    Putting a Pod into an area of no WiFi signal will not work.  It needs to be located usually halfway between the Hub and dead zone.  You may get better results with a good Powerline adaptor setup. 

  • I KNOW THAT! That is exactly why I would like to get a pod to see if it will sort out the issue. I used to have the same problem on the upper floor of my house and a pod in the right place sorted it.  VM guarantees at least 30Mb in every room. The contract I have says I am entitled to 3 pods free of charge.

      Thank you for running all available tests through our Connect App.

      I'm not going to ask you to do any more.

      What I would like to do is arrange for a Pod to be sent out.

      We can only send them one at a time though.

      If you don't mind, I'll need to send you a private message to pass security first though.
      If you can check the envelope at the top right of your screen, that would be great.
