How on earth do I get the Volt upgrade applied

Virgin broadband installed 17th June. I was told by the sales rep that as my wife had an O2 account I'd be upgraded automatically from 500M to 1G midnight 17th or 18th as system would see Virgin and O2 at same address. Didn't happen. After searching high and low told by some O2 online person that the virgin isn't registered in my wife's number but in my lebara number. I thought as long as someone in your house at your address had an O2 account volts would be applied? Not the case online person told me. I was miffed with salesperson who made calls and found out I was correct. Now our Virgin account has been changed to my wife's O2 number and when you log into O2 it says she is able to get volts or words to those effects. Still no upgrade and trying to get this sorted is just mad. Can someone please explain to me how I get the Volts benefits of doubling the Virgin bandwidth from 500M to 1G? Appreciate all help I can get

    Sorry to hear about the mixup with our Volt benefits.

    As legacy1 has advised, it can take up to 14 days to be processed on both accounts.

    Can I just confirm you used the site here to register your details?

    If it's been longer than 14 days, please let me know.

      Hi the link you gave me took me to a page to link the virgin and O2 accounts! Wow! So I guess now the 14 days starts today? Or can you sort Gareth? I have never seen that page and searched high and low for days. Why is this process so difficult for most people? Why isn't the linking link more visible and far easier to find? Im an IT engineer and find this process is unbelievably hard. It's as if O2 and Virgin don't want people to upgrade ;<D

    After many months of trying to sort this out, Daniel did it for me today and many many thanks to him! I'm now at 1.10 Gbps!!! All I'd say is that if anyone gets nowhere with Volts application then he's the man to speak to.

  • I’m having the same difficulty and still haven’t got the volt benefits on my o2 account. Would this be something you can help me with?
