V6 stopping recording

Good afternoon

I had a V6 unit fitted five months ago, and it has never worked correctly since being installed. I can record programmes, and it will simply stop recording at random during the programme. However, it shows it is recording on the menu screen, and I only know it has not fully recorded once I try to view it. I was told for months I was the only customer to be experiencing this. But I am now told a customer in Stoke & Tamworth are experiencing this problem (I am in Manchester).

After many replacement units and four engineers visiting my property, it is still unresolved. I am now being told it cannot be investigated further as only three customers have complained, and you need five for it to be escalated. So, my question is, does the above sound familiar to anyone else? If so, could you let me know so I can get to five customers and get Virgin to continue to look into this for me

Many thanks in advance

There's a few bits here that sound a little fishy.

First off, when you say you had a V6 installed a few months ago, are you sure? I'm asking because V6 haven't been available for new customers since several years, only existing TiVo & V6 customers can have them. New customers have had TV360 since several years - if you're not sure, check on https://www.virginmedia.com/care/tv-fault/which-tv-box

The process you've been explained about 5 customers, normally applies to area faults where VM will start treating a problem as a network rather than single-user fault, when a certain number of customers from the same area, report the same issue. But I'm puzzled why this would be an area fault.

When you say "I only know it has not fully recorded once I try to view it", can you explain how you know? What are the symptoms? Do you get any error codes/messages onscreen? If so, what are they? Feel free to post pictures or screenshots if it would help explain.
