TV box is on but blank screen

So my mother's TV services has stopped working the box has been turned off left for days tried to hard reset it with power button and plus button it's stuck on a black screen. The power indicator changes colour red orange yellow blue I've seen all colours   the box keeps changing the TV source to it so I have had to turn it off as she's 93 and the input changing to a black screen she doesn't know how to change it back.    Booked eng first one never turned up booked a second one. He's come out turned the box on and said it will work in 1 hour and left.   Do I have to book another eng or it possible to get sun help via the forum ?
