360 Box Black screen

Hi ,  Have a black screen and no sound when try to load channels or apps. Tried power on/off and done a factory reset but still no luck. No problems with phone or broadband.

    Sorry to hear of the issues with your 360 box and TV channels, we appreciate you raising this with us via the forums.

     

    Are you able to access the settings menu? If so, can you go to Settings - Audio & Video and ensure the top option HDMI resolution is set to automatic?

    Hi Gee123​ 

    Is the screen completely black when turned on?

    If not completely black what error code and message are visible?

    Are any lights visible on the front of the 360 box, and if so what colour are they and are they flashing or solid?

    Have you checked that the HDMI cable is firmly attached to both the 360 and your TV?

    Have you tried a different HDMI port, also a different HDMI cable?

    How did you perform the factory reset ?

    Thank you for replying.. Yes i have tried different ports and  a different cable. I performed a factory reset through the settings option.

    Home screen works fine and has all the tv programme info. Its just turns black when i try to load a channel or any of the apps.
