Putting a V6 into standby shouldn't cause split recordings - all recording activity continues as normal while the box is powered up. Rebooting the box, would cause this outcome.

is there any other reason why it would be split up ?

Check the red status bar when you press "play" during each recording - are each of the 3 separate recordings clearly of the same programme? In other words, the red bar for each only partially fills the line, and each separate one complements the other two?
If so, the only other explanation for partial recordings is that you'd inadvertently cancelled the recording partway through, and then reinstated it a short time later. That also creates separate recordings.

yes so it was a 3 hour recording and each separate recording only had the red bar for a specific amount of time like 36 minutes

Hi Thomas83,
Thanks for posting on our Community Forums and welcome back 😊
I am sorry to hear about this split during your recording! Do you remember there being any service issues around that time?An area fault on the day may have caused this, but I cannot see any outages ongoing at the moment.
Could anyone else in the household accidentally cancelled the recording and then restarted it?
Thanks,
Meg
