Re: Catch Up gone from TV guide

I apologise for contacting you on this thread but my question relates to catch up and I did not get an answer on an online chat with a VM agent.

i have a TiVo V6 box and I have noticed that on the channel listing menu certain channels like BBC and itv no longer show with the @ like character ( it has a c instead of the a) if a programme is on catchup . I find this really difficult because I don’t want to waste disc space on the box recording it when it is going to be on catchup neither do I not want to record a show to find it is not on catchup and therefore miss something I really want to watch. Has it changed recently , can it be restored thanks for any help

It's often better to start a new thread if you're not sure, than add to an old one.

In this case, the question you have was discussed more recently - I've moved your post to that thread, reading the history of this should answer your query.

Feel free to use the reply function here, if necessary.

    Hi AndrewFisher 👋

Thanks for reaching out to us regarding channel listing and symbols. C does mean it is available on Catchup, any feedback on interfaces that we create for our customers are always welcome, currently there is no was to have it be restored to the way it was prior. But we can feedback to the team regarding as feedback from our customers.

Just to say I keep finding it annoying that this functionality is missing (and no, going through several menus isn't a "workaround"). The 'C' icon patched through to iPlayer etc. until recently, so I don't understand why having separate streaming apps should be a blocker now. Perhaps the Virgin engineers could show some ingenuity and get it working again.

All existing direct links to external streaming apps will continue to work. But all of VM's development focus has been on TV360 for many years now. TiVo-firmware is now in a support rather than development mode.

There's plenty of other TiVo-functions that are not replicated on TV360, and require other menus or additional keypresses.
