Your "me too" post has been moved to a new thread, but this sounds like a pixellation query - can you confirm?
If so - checking your two boxes will be an excellent test of whether it's an external fault or internal. If only one box is affected, try swapping them around to see whether the fault follows the box move or remains with the internal cabling.

I'm sorry to hear of your pixilation and picture quality issues. Are these ongoing today? If so, has the advice that's been offered by japitts helped at all in narrowing down what's going on?
