On Demand issues. BBC iPlayer, STV Player, 4 on Demand

4 On Demand freezes when launched.

BBC iPlayer & STV Player have to sign in every time. Only happened last few days.

  • Hi jags1971,

Thanks for taking the time to contact us via the Community. It's lovely having you on board with us in the Forums. ⭐

We're sorry to hear you're having issues with your apps. Can you expand further on how your V6 box is connected to your internet? Is this via WiFi or through an ethernet cable?

Do you have other issues such as problems with live TV or recordings?

It's worth giving your V6 a refresh by rebooting it too. Please turn it off and leave off for a few minutes. Once back on, monitor to see if the same issues occur.

Please let us know how things go.

    Thanks,

Good to know it's sorted. The "factory reset" is an option on TV360, not V6.

Are you absolutely certain you have a V6 (running TiVo-software)? And not a TV360, running Horizon software?

A V6 can be converted into a TV360 by reformatting the HDD, and the behaviour you've described is not uncommon for a TV360. It is highly unusual for a V6.

A TiVo/V6 has the TiVo-logo in the top-right corner of the menu, next to the video preview. A TV360 does not, and also has a voice-control remote. You've posted in the V6 section of the forum, but I strongly suspect yours is not a V6. Photos of the remote control (the physical box hardware is the same) are at https://www.virginmedia.com/care/tv-fault/which-tv-box
