How long have I had my V6 box?

I'm trying to find out how long I have had my V6 box.  How can I do so?

If and when your V6 dies, it can be replaced with another V6 - that is standard VM policy and the box remains fully supported for fault replacements.

TV360 runs Horizon-software and is very online/OnDemand-centric with recording retrofitted. V6 runs TiVo-software and is very recording-centric, with a good streaming product added.

The two main additional features that TV360 has over a V6, is access to Disney+ & Paramount+ apps. If those are important to you, the case is made.

If they're not important to you, there are many pros & cons both ways. If you want an On-Demand driven box that can do basic recording, has voice-control and has a more modern-feel, TV360 may suit you.

Some accuse the V6 of having a dated interface compared with TV360 and undoubtedly Horizon is newer, but the TiVo-firmware is more concerned with functionality than looks. Some of the recording functionality is unmatched, and the popular streaming/OnDemand facilities work just as well on V6 as they do TV360.

Opinions vary wildly, but a voluntary choice to convert is irreversible - so whatever you decide, do so on an informed basis.

Why do you need to know how long you've had your V6?

I'm considering switching to the 360 and wondering if I should wait until the V6 dies.  Unless there are distinct advantages in switching.

If you are thinking of getting it replaced with a shiny new one you will be disappointed.
