A very good question, and I don't have an answer . For dross like Homes under the Hammer, guess it doesn't matter. But for films it does, you don't know what films are coming, you have to join them half way through, can't pause, can't record., cant FF through ads. If Fast Channels are the future, God help us...

AFAIK there's no programme guide for these FAST channels.
And to the best of my knowledge, this is by design. After all, they're not linear broadcast channels with a published schedule. The EPG position is a bit of a licensing back-door, to hide the fact these are red-button streams.

Hi Nick,
It looks like you need the TV360 box which shows a schedule and synopsis of the current and upcoming programs.
According to a user on a different forum there were previous issues with the FAST channels on V6 boxes with the boxes recording the slates when pressing the red button.

Are you saying that TV360's EPG for the FAST channels includes individual programmes? And that those are recordable?
Not that it's a major selling point, but an interesting difference if so.

The EPG's on most of the 360's FAST channels show the titles, episode number if applicable, and a brief synopsis of upcoming programes, however like other streaming channels they are NOT recordable.
I was suggesting that according to a poster on a different forum, that the reason the V6 boxes don't show the titles and brief synopsis of upcoming programes is because the V6 boxes were incorrectly recording the red button slates on those channels.
Since I switched to the 360 format around three years ago I didn't have access to V6 boxes to check if that was true or not. For the same reason I also can't say whether or not you need to press the red button to access those channels on the V6. Yon don't need to press the red button on the 360.

On the 360 the FAST channels are no different to any others in that the EPG shows future programmes. And they are designed to mimic conventional linear TV by live streaming (but without a buffer) by being scheduled (so not AVOD which is on demand).
