Challenge Tv And E4+1 signal problems

I have just started to notice that the signal for the two above channels is very intermittent. All other channels are transmitting fine and I have no problems but these two are struggling. I’ve test the box and WiFi and it’s still doing it. Does anyone else have this problem or know how to fix?

  • Hi SassyStephanie 👋.

Thanks for reaching out to us and welcome to the Community Forums, sorry to hear that you are having issues with Challenge TV & E4+1. Can we ask are you getting any error codes or messages and since your post are you still having issues with these channels or have they since resolved themselves?

    Please let us know.

Still having problems and no error messages, just no picture or sound. Every other channel is absolutely fine and working well. Just these two I’m having trouble with

        Hi SassyStephanie

Thanks for coming back to us.

Please can you check that the cabling connected to the Virgin Media socket on the wall is secure and finger tight, including any splitters (if applicable).
Also at the back of the Virgin TV box there may be a 6 inch long white connector cable, please ensure the cabling is secure here too and finger tight and that the connector cable is secure in the back of the Virgin TV box. Also please check if the cabling is connected tightly on all other Virgin Media equipment in the property. Also, is the V6 box well ventilated? If those don't fix it, please confirm what resolution your V6 box is broadcasting at:
If you could press the 'home' button on the remote for me please
Next go to 'Help and Settings'
        Then 'Settings'
        Select 'Video Output'
If you can read out the number next to Video Output Format

I'm going to assume the symptoms you're seeing are pixellation and/or picture breakup on these two channels, and/or a W02 "loss of signal" error. If you're using a V6, live TV doesn't use the internet so testing your WiFi is an exercise in futility, not sure what test you've run on the V6 itself.

Otherwise, standard advice for pixellation issues applies - check for area faults on 0800 5610061, reboot your box once to rule out a fault there, and if it persists.. report the fault to VM, as it will need "boots on the ground" investigation.

150 from a VM phone, 0345 4541111 from any other phone, or wait on this forum a few days (may be longer with the Bank Holiday weekend) if you don't consider it urgent.
