Virgin's TV360 App
Sorry to go on about this but does anyone in virgin REALLY know what they're talking about?
First I report a fault with one of three V6 boxes to be told all I need is a software update which needs to be done at home with a new remote, then I find my V6 box is removed from my contract and in its place a 360 TV has been added! I called Virgin twice before the engineer's visit to emphasise that I don't want to change to TV360.The engineer still called but agreed not to migrate as I had asked. What I didn't know was that the TV360 order had NOT been cancelled and was left in abeyance AND as a result Virgin had craftily put two TV360 APPS onto my interface which say 'INSTALL NOW' which is fine if you avoid clicking on it by mistake but mistakes can happen! I spent almost an hour speaking with three different Virgin agents this morning after the first one assured me that the APPS could be removed by Virgin sending a signal to my V6 box & all I had to do was re-boot and Hey Presto the Apps would disappear... but guess what they didn't! I called again to Technical who didn't think the Apps could be removed, however the order for completion of TV360 was cancelled or at least that's what they said!
I really can't understand how 15 year old customers like me can be messed about like this and know they're hell bent on getting people to migrate, yet there's nothing wrong with the 'Tivo' powered V^ box most customers seem happy with.
