We recently upgraded to virgin 360 by Virgin sending us a new remote control.
All was fine for about 2 months and now the box is humming loudly, even when set to standby, it's even louder when it's actually on and active.
Is this normal please? We certainly didn't have this issue before we upgraded.
It sounds like your fan is running fast, it has been a common problem with some of the older V6 boxes updated to 360, you need to make sure the vent underneath the box isn't blocked, I think it won't be so you could give Virgin a call on 150 from a Virgin phone, mobile or landline, or 0345 454 1111 from any other phone to report a fault, or wait here for one of the forum team to pick this up which might be 2 to 3 day's.
