Problem with new Panasonic tv pairing to 360

Just got a new Panasonic tv for Christmas. Managed to pair the 360 remote so it controls volume and switch off to standby. But unable to restart tv with 360 remote. My old tv, 10 year old Panasonic worked fine. Tried to enter tv code: TB-55W60AEY but not recognised so gone through remote ok entry steps. But still can switch on from standby with 360 remote. Don’t want to use two remotes! Any suggestions? Thanks

  • Most low and midrange Panasonic televisions are now made by Vestel. When pairing using the 360 box, try selecting Vestel instead of Panasonic and see if that solves the issue.

This maybe helpful. I have had panasonic tvs for years and when I purchased a new panasonic t.v. two months ago I did not go through the pairing process, the 360 remote was able to control the tv straight away.

  • Have you tried resetting the remote, try pressing TV and 0 button for 10 seconds and it should now force pairing. This is now also supposed to reset the remote which sometimes updated the codes.

If that doesn't work you could try the old method of resetting the remote .

Press and hold the TV and Rewind button for 10 seconds which will factory reset the 360 remote. After the factory reset, try pressing TV and 0 button for 10 seconds and it should now force pairing.

As you only need to enter 4 characters to pair the TV try TB55 or 55W6,.

Many thanks for the suggestion of going for the Vestel option. The TV codes didn’t work but managed to go through the key test entry and it now works. Many thanks for your help. Much appreciated.
