Problem with handshake between 360 box and LG TV
Just "upgraded" to 360 box from V6. Voice control is great, but some features are missing such as the ability to stop recording and delete and undelete programs. This seems to be the way of the future.
However, the main issue is the One Power option, i.e. switch on/off both 360 Box and TV with one button. I had the same issue with V6 sometimes where if I switched on the TV before the V6, the handshake would be missed and the TV would not communicate with the box.
On the new 360 Box, if One Power is enabled, both devices are switched on at the same time and sometimes (not always) the handshake is missed and there is no communication. So I have had to switch off One Power (a pity as it is one of the better features) and now I always switch on the 360, wait for the light to go green and then switch on the TV. Seems to work each time.
I am wondering though, if this is because the LG TV is 10 years old now and whether anyone with a brand new TV ever gets this problem when One Power is switched on?
If you want to stop a recording go to Recordings, Recorded, View all, scroll to the recording you want to stop and press the info (...) button, you will then get the option to stop recording, press that and you will get the option to stop recording or stop recording and delete.
If you are watching the programme being recorded press the info button, select info and then the edit recording option.
My LG TV and soundbar are coming up to 3 years old this month and I don't have any problem with the TV and 360 turning on, very very occasionally the soundbar doesn't power on (usually when OH turns everything on), I either then use the soundbar remote to turn it on or sometimes the TV's remote and go through the sound settings just to refresh the HDMI setting.
Is your 360 set to fast start or active start my 360 is set to active start.
