Pixellating again

I've put up with pixellating screen for years. An engineer comes out, checks my cables and we hope for the best. 

Recently I am now seeing the channel failed message alongside pixellating screens. My family are very tired of it to say the least.

What can I do about this?

    When you report a fault and a tech visit is arranged, that tech should either resolve the fault or refer it to the networks team for further investigation. Your implication that you "hope for the best" implies this hasn't happened?

    You absolutely need to keep reporting the fault until it's resolved, and VM absolutely need to have "boots on the ground" with signal faults. Some types of signal fault can be tricky to narrow down and take longer to fix, but they certainly shouldn't just be left unresolved.

    How were things last left when you had a tech visit?

    Is this happening on every channel or just certain ones? When we've ran a diagnostic check, there's no issues/area outages.
