I recently had 2 fairly long cables made up by a Virgin engineer. one for the TV, and one for the router.
Does the length of the cable affect performance with the 360 box and the router, also, is the performance affected if the cables are coiled (because longer than needed).

It won't make a meaningful difference unless its exceptionally long
In the Hub status tabs Upstream and Downstream we can check the signal level figures.
What issue or issues are you having with the longer cables, is it affecting both the TV and hub or just one or the other.
Why did you have the longer cables made up if they are just coiled up. I would have thought the engineer would have checked the signal levels after making up the cables if they were in use or were they an option for the future.
The longer a cable the greater the attenuation (signal loss). It's better if the longer cable can be used for the 360 box.
