New features of V360 annoying, is there a solution?

I always listen to the radio through my TV.  So it's on for long stretches just on Radio 6 Music.  Both queries are related to this. 1) Before the screen went to mainly black with maybe just a logo ...

    Try using just the Radioline app.... It's a bit darker. I use that instead of the 'radio' section now

    That is definitely much better - particularly if you favourite the station and then go in via favourites.
