Issue after 360 upgrade

I have V6 box and everything was working perfectly for 5 years until I did the 360 upgrade a couple of weeks ago.

It is giving errors when trying to play recordings, one is CS2000. The box then reboots itself.

I am getting failed recordings, saying it’s due to a technical issue.

I am getting partial recordings, saying due to power failure. (I have not had any power cuts)

Restarting the box sometimes resolves the issue but only briefly and not every time. At this minute I cannot play and recordings, record anything new or pause the TV.

I have restarted everything and. He led the connections. I have also done the partial reset.

The test on the My Virgin Media app was saying it couldn’t connect to the box so I have an engineer coming Friday but looking at other peoples issues it seems the issue is the 360 upgrade on the V6 box so do i just need a new box??

Another issue was it said I would loose my recordings before the upgrade which I did but it did NOT say I would loose my series links and I did!

  • Hey Victoria1980 Thanks for reaching out to us on the Virgin Media forums.

I'm sorry to hear about the issues with the TV box you are having, 😢
May I ask how the engineers appointment went?

Is everything working as fine now?

    Let us know.

    Kind regards,
    Ilyas.

The engineer replaced the box. Apparently it’s quite common for the upgrade to corrupt the hard drive.

  • I had the same issue post the upgrade. Engineer swapped for another box - Fixed 👍
