Disney+ login

I've had a Disney+ subscription since the service became available a couple of years ago. My account is not linked to my VM account, but I've accessed it through the Disney+ app on my 360 box since the app was available.

Recently, I reset my 360 box, which means I needed to log into all of my streaming apps. Most of them worked fine, but I can't log in to Disney+. It seems to want me to set up a new account, rather than letting me log into my existing account. When I try to log in, it tells me to "create a password" - which is wrong as I already have a password. When I give it my existing password, it tells me that it's not a strong enough password (which is nonsense, as it's my existing D+ password and contains all the character types they ask for).

Luckily, my TV also has a built-in D+ app, so I can use that instead. But it's annoying that I can no longer use the VM version of the app.

Has anyone else experienced this? I noticed it a few weeks ago, so it's weird that it hasn't been fixed if it's a bug.

  • Hi davorg 👋

Welcome to the Community Forums and thanks for your post.

Have you tried creating a password as suggested to see if that allowed you access?

  • I can't see what good creating a password would do. I already have an account, with a password that works on all of my other devices.

    But from my previous message:

"When I give it my existing password, it tells me that it's not a strong enough password (which is nonsense, as it's my existing D+ password and contains all the character types they ask for)."

I've seen some talk about VM deliberately blocking logins using the D+ standard plan. But I've always dismissed that as nonsense. Could it be true?

      Hi davorg,

Thanks for coming back to us here. We're not deliberately blocking any logins on any apps - the apps are developed and maintained via the third party who owns them, so that wouldn't be possible.

Have you tried logging out and then logging back in with the password you believe it to be on another device? If you have and you log in without issue then I'd recommend double-checking the login details you're entering.

      Thanks,

  • I can log in and out as many times as I want on any other device. I know my login details.

But, yes, of course you don't control the app. I think I'm complaining to the wrong people. This is a question for the developers of the Disney+ app.

      Hi davorg,

Thanks for getting back to us. Have you also tried changing/updating the login information as we've suggested in an earlier post here?

      Thanks,
