CS2400 error

I've had an issue with BBC1 and BBC2 for weeks. An App not accessible error appears with a CS2400 error. I habe tried restarting the box. I have also contacted virgin and was given a 5 day resolution time but this has elapsed and its still not resolved.

What is going on here and how can I get it resolved? The people I spoke to at virgin don't seem to have an idea what is going on, but checking these forums its doesn't look like an isolated issue.

Thanks

    Hi Redfly

The error is still being investigated see <<< this post >>>

It mainly affects BBC channels - there is a workaround.

You can force the BBC  channel to play without the pop up reappearing if you hit the back button on the 360 remote when the error message appears, and then press pause and play

  • Hello Redfly

As newapollo has advised this is a known issue we're working on to resolve as quickly as possible, please try the 'work around' offered and let us know if this helps.

Thanks for the reply. I have been using the work around but it isn't really a long term solution (and I have had to do this since reading about it on the forums here weeks ago). Does anyone have an idea when is this likely to be fixed?

Hey Charlee88, thank you for reaching out and a warm welcome to the community I am sorry to hear this.

Are you only having this issue with Prime?

If so have you tried to delete and reinstall the app at all?

Has prime ever worked for you?

Also when you say clicking is this when it turning on or clicking all the time? Cheers

Yes I also get these errors fairly often.  Box was working perfectly until about second week of January 2023.  I suspect many of the older boxes have problems with software updates and VM are having to replace.  Each time there is a software update, recordings are deleted, apps get logged out and factory reset required to enable software update to be completed.

      Hi Huckster Doudar woltoncarr

The CS2400 error mainly affects BBC channels, possibly related to the BBC iPlayer app, for which a link is triggered when you land on a BBC channel. This provides the interactivity with the red button in the same way as customers get an error message when there is no internet connectivity with the box.

      There is a workaround.

You can force the BBC  channel to play without the pop up reappearing if you hit the back button on the 360 remote when the error message appears, and then press pause and play

  • I have this error now on my You Tube app on my tv, all my other apps work. I noticed that when I switched it on this morning it said an update had been installed - does anybody have a fix please?

Good Afternoon winonski, thanks for your post on our Community Forums.

Sorry to hear of the emergence of this error code.

Is this happening on YouTube via the set top box or are you using a Smart TV?

      Thanks,

      David_Bn

  • I'm also getting the CS2400 error on BBC iPlayer and BBC channels. Extremely frustrating and no obvious fix

Did it help anyone or does anyone still need help on this?

I’m getting the CS2400 error but only when trying to use YouTube. I’ve just had a new V6 delivered today (to replace an old V6 that was not compatible with the 360 upgrade).

My V6 box in my bedroom works fine and over WiFi too.

My new main V6 box is having the error and runs over Ethernet. The old V6 box had no issues with YouTube at all.

I’ve checked all connections too, connection quality is good. Also tried to run main box over WiFi and still won’t launch YouTube.

Does a new box have additional updates after initial set up or do I have another problem?

      Hi benbmw1980

There shouldn't  be any additional updates. Have you tried swapping the boxes around?
