Can you ring VM and ask for same engineeer that set you up on 360

I realise this is weird but has anyone who had an engineer to help them and then later on found a problem or issue like I have that happened at that visit in time contacted virgin to ask if they can co e out again to discuss further

I ask because he changed my long cable to a shorter one but did not realise until yesterday that the original cable was plugged into my aerial socket on the wall and thar is perhaps why I have lost all my built in channels on my tv only I may wrongas I have no idea but before I was transferred over to 360 if my TiVo box went down I could switch to my in built channels and they are still there listed but it says weak signal and I don't know if I should contact virgin media or go to an outside tv specialist or just not bother or going forward if I ever need to replace this tv do I need a lead into my serial socket just so confused

If you have an actual fault because the job wasn't done properly, perhaps you'd be better off with a different technician.

You can book a technician visit, but they won't let you choose who comes. If they find there's no fault they will charge you £25.

Sounds like you have lost your 'normal' TV signal through your roof aerial. Your cheapest first solution is to purchase a replacement co-ax cable, which is just the one that every TV uses via their roof aerial. If you havbe a lovely hardware shop take the short one in for them to give you the same one. Otherwise Amazon will be your stop.

Sounds like you have a rooftop aerial with co-ax feeding a Freeview setup, in addition to your VM co-ax feeding your TiVo/V6/TV360 box.

As mentioned already, VM will rectify any faults on their install FOC, but could charge if their setup is working and the fault is elsewhere. An independent TV tech will be better placed if the problem is on your other equipment, and if they find fault with VM's work having caused it - get a report from them stating this, and use that as the basis for a complaint to VM.
