Can I get TV360 on my TiVo box or not?

I've just re-contracted with VM. 

My Contract says TV360.

I spoke to someone about whether I needed new boxes (I currently have two TiVo boxes). I was told, they could send me new remotes and TV360 would work with my current boxes. The lady I was talking to also said she had done something (software update I guess) to my two boxes.

The new remotes did not arrive, I contacted VM on their chat and they sent one remote, which looks like a slightly newer, smaller version of my old TiVo remote, not the TV360 remote.

Everywhere I look seems to say TV360 won't work on TiVo, I need V6.

Everything seems to be the same with the new remote.

Am I missing something? or do I need a different remote? or a different box?

I'm going to spend tomorrow on VM chat again, aren't I?

    This is not a criticism, but there's clearly a misunderstanding of what TV360 is.

    TiVo is a software platform which drives Virgin Media's legacy TiVo-500 & current V6 TV boxes. In the same way, iOS the software platform that drives iPhones & iPads, and Android is the software platform that drives - for example - Samsung phones.

    TV360 is the VM-UK marketing name for TV boxes that are driven by Horizon-software - this is fundamentally different software to TiVo, and operates in a very different way.

    VM have a business policy of encouraging TiVo-based customers - thus anyone with a TiVo-500 or a V6 - to migrate from the TiVo-platform to the TV360-platform. There is no requirement to migrate in the vast majority of cases, unless your package meets some very specific criteria - namely the inclusion of a Paramount+ or Disney+ subscription.

    What VM sales agents very often do, is use a re-contract conversation to sell a migration from TiVo/V6 boxes > TV360 boxes, it sounds like that's what's happened in your case. If you had TiVo-500 boxes, these are physically swapped out for new TV360-boxes - if you had V6 boxes, these are software-converted into TV360-master boxes.
