Box looping arrow icon

My 360 box has gone into a loop of an icon of an arrow pointing at a set top box and the welcome screen (see screenshot) attached

it's been doing this for 5 hours now. Any help appreciated. I’m planning to call Sky on Monday, as Virgins services are starting to weigh me down. Lots of money, zero customer help.

You have the dreaded firmware download failure loop.

Turn the box off from the switch at the back. Hold down BOTH the minus button & the power button on the front of the box, and keep them pressed. Then turn on the switch at the back and keep the aforementioned buttons pressed for 30 seconds. The front power light will eventually turn blue (may take some time) and the box will reboot.

This should reset the firmware loading process, then download and install the update. Be warned it will delete most of the data on the HDD including recordings/series links, but should recover the box. If this fails the box will need replacement.

Thank you so much! A helpful person. Really appreciated.

Fortunately Virgin engineers are consistently reliable and easy to contact, even when their web support and customer service is appalling.
