I live in Lincoln and BBC1 HD East Midlands and Yorkshire are pixelating, all other BBC 1 channels are fine.
The VM tech told me it is a BBC problem and gave me a number to call.
This was the BBC Radio London Traffic line. So not much help.

So this is only BBC, no other channels?
Have you got a photo or video of this?
Is it a certain show like EastEnders or pretty much everything on BBC?
What is BBC 2 like, is it the same?
What did the BBC hot line say?
I too live in Lincoln and have been suffering with pixelation on BBC1 only… more on dark pictures than light. I have more than 1 box, and can actually see 2 tvs on 2 boxes on different channels at the same time- and the problem is always BBC1 on ANY box on ANY tv, at any time. So much so I installed all new cables, new signal splitters and even went as far buying a new tv it was that bad.
poor showing virgin!!! Fix it please!!! Paying for a service that is actually not what it says on the tin!

Just to clarify, do you mean the other BBC1 regionals in EPG 86x (i.e. 861-865 are fine?)
Have you used the /check-services/ function? You can also a run a test on your equipment from there.
If nothing is showing you could also try the automated Service Status number 0800 561 0061. This often gives details of more local issues down to postcode level.
