Adding multiroom affect on contract?

Hi

Thinking of either moving my router and tv 360 box upstairs - which I gather can be arranged on here for about £25 engineer visit - or adding multiroom.

Couple of things putting me off multiroom.

1) Seems like you have to phone to order. Can't see that being either quick or painless.

2) Can anyone advise if adding multiroom affects my contract ie. will it start a new 18 or 24 month contract?

Thanks,

Stephen

  • Do you already have a coax connection upstairs where you are thinking of moving the 360 box and hub, if you don't and you want a second box (multi room) upstairs then you would still need the coax connection.

By going to the multi room option you might save £25 if you want to add the second box upstairs, if the main viewing location is downstairs then that's where you should keep the main box and hub.

Regarding your second question about effecting your contract it should just add the second box to your contract but be careful when speaking to the offshore team, they might suggest otherwise.

You could take your time thinking about the best option and wait for one of the forum team to get back to you.

No coax connection upstairs, so I know I need an engineer visit whether I'm taking multiroom or just moving it all upstairs.

Thanks for the advice on the contract, I'm very wary about ordering multiroom in case I end up with another 18 or 24 months. Going to be hard enough and expensive enough trying to leave at the end of my current contract without extending.

If you get a 2nd coax connection put in upstairs for multiroom is it exactly the same as the downstairs one ie. it would make no difference which one you used for the router and main tv box and which you used for the mini?

If you get a manned installation for the 2nd box and it's an addition to your contract then it might well be free.

The engineer should be able to place the hub wherever you want and also locate the main box in your preferred location.

  • Hello

Could one of the Forum Team please get in touch regarding either adding Multiroom to my current TV package or booking an engineer to simply move my router and 360 box upstairs without getting multiroom?

I've seen/experienced contradictory advice on what can or can't be ordered online regarding contracts etc. so if one of the Forum Team could drop me a Private Message to see what I can do online that would be great.

    Thanks

    Stephen

      HI Stephen,

      Thanks for posting 😊

If you're wanting to add additional boxes, package changes aren't something we do via this forum. But you can speak to the team on 150/ 0345 454 1111 and this can be arranged.

If you do want to look at moving an existing equipment, there is a £25 charge for this and we can pop you over a private message to arrange, just let us know.
