360 Upgrade newbie - help pls ...

Hi all, just upgraded to the new 360 box, well existing V6 box upgraded via software update. Can those of you with some experience help a newbie….

 

  1. Has anyone found a way to set up 2 remote controls to work on the one TV? I know I can use the App as a remote, but 2 remotes would be way easier.

 

  1. How do I get the TV Guide to default to the top i.e. Channel 101 – seems to always default in the 300’s resulting in painful scrolling up

 

  1. What’s the easiest way to delete a recording – on the old remote it could be done by one button but on the 360 It seems you must open up the programme and delete that way – very clunky.

    You can't pair a second Virgin 360 remote but you can pair a second universal remote to the 360, the One For All URC7125 or  URC1240 seem to be popular choices, the 1240 is slightly cheaper but can manage 4 devices. If your TV has a smart remote you might be able to pair that to the 360 box, my LG smart remote is paired to the 360 using Ziggo Set-Top box.

    You can't get the TV Guide to default to the top it always starts at the last viewed channel, but you can either use voice control and say "Top" or just press the '1' key to get you there.

    No real shortcut to delete a recording if you have just watched the recording press the info button and you can delete from there.
