If the box is restarting and you are not losing your recording's (always a good sign of a faulty box when you do lose them), it might be a power supply problem, I would check all your power supply connections and if you have 2 boxes you could swap the power supplies between the 2 boxes. It could still be a faulty box.

Thank you for responding. We have previously lost recordings so I guess that the box is faulty.
Yes, if the box is deleting your recordings and planned recordings then you need to give Virgin a call or wait for one of the forum team to respond which might be 2 to 3 days, not what you want just before Christmas.
When phoning choose the option to report a fault, then ignore all the options offered and you should then be placed into a queue to speak to someone. 🤞
