360 box apps not working

I've had a problem last few days where none of my apps work. Saying there's been a problem, please try again or just a circle going round. The live tv works but anything from netflix, prime, itv etc, plays the adds then won't show the content.

The box seems to run slow both up stairs and down and the voice activation no longer works.

Any ideas? Literally only had virgin for 3 weeks

    Hi markiemark3891

It sounds like the box(es) have lost their internet connection.  This often shows up with an error code such as CS9993, or being unable to change any settings.  It can also prevent the EPG updating so that may should a lot of To Be Announced in the guide.

Are you having internet connections on any other devices?

If using an ethernet connection on either of your 360 boxes double check that the ethernet cable hasn't worked loose either on the 360 or the hub.

On the 360 box try going into Settings > System > Diagnostics and check that the boxes are showimng as connected.  You can also go into Settings > System > Change connection type and reconnect.

Also try rebooting  the hub and/or 360 boxes.

  • My broadband seems a bit slower than normal and we only have two phones and a few alexas connected.

I've factory reset one device upstairs, and it worked and then it came up on 5OD as we're having trouble playing this title.

It does seem like a broadband issue but the one I'm watching upstairs is on ethernet cable and it's not worked loose.

Should I speak to tech support?

    Thanks for your quick reply

  • If you are still having problems have you checked for faults in your area, you can login to your My Virgin Media and check your service status, or phone 0800 5610061 for a more localised check.

As you say your broadband seems slower have you tried using Speedtest to check your network connection using a hard wired connection and also wifi.
