Unable to log in to VM

I've an issue trying to connect to my account online or via the app. I've managed to reset this, but it asks for an account number and area code to attach my account.

Unfortunately, as I have had no written contact for about 20 years, I am unable to locate my account number or area code. I would normally get it online, but as I now need it for online access to be permitted.

Can someone supply me with the account number/area code? Thanks.

Dave

  • Hi davymatt,

Thanks for taking the time to contact us via the Community. It's lovely having you on board with us in the Forums. ⭐

We're sorry to hear you're having some issues completing the log in due to missing the account number and area code. We're not able to give account numbers via the Community however as mentioned by Graham_A, this will be on your monthly e-bills. You'll also have received a new contract within the last few years that will show the account number.

For the area reference, this is something we can give you. The one you'll need is 31.

If you have further problems locating your account number, let us know and we can arrange to re-send you a contract with the information 😊

    Many thanks,

The account number and area code will be shown in the monthly email that you receive advising that your bill is ready to download.  The first 9 digits of the reference shown on your bank statement for the direct debit payment to VM is your account number.

I've got a slight variation on this problem. I have a blueyonder email address that was originally a secondary address (with my husband having the primary address). Some time ago, VM said that secondary addresses such as mine had to have their own account with a non-VM email address, which I am trying to set up.

When I try to verify my non-VM address, nothing seems to work. I open the verification email but when I click on the link, it says I have to try another way. I can't provide information from a bill or contract as the VM account is in my husband's name and he has a separate email address.

I'd be grateful for any help at all as I'm getting nowhere with it.

        Hello Pam123.

Thanks for your post and welcome to our community.

We're sorry to hear you're having issues verifying your secondary email address.

With the account being in your Husbands name, are you accessing the account directly through the primary login details, or using your email address?
