I'm also having same problem.
I can sign in fine on web browser but on iOS I have the same problem for My VM & VM Connect apps.
iOS and apps are both latest.
Symptoms...
1) Click "Sign in with a Virgin Media Account" on VM Connect or "Broadband, Tv & Phone" on My VM app.
2) popup appears "'VM Connect' wants to use 'virginmedia.com to sign In. This allows the app and website to share information about you". Cancel or Continue.
3) Click Continue... browser type window pups up and before loading anything closes itself.
4) The app now shows "Sorry, we're having problems".
