Account number incorrect on app/web

Hello,

Each time I sign into the app it shows my old account number and I cannot see a way of changing to the new account number. 
Any suggestions on how to get this changed?

Typically, if you have a new account number with us, we will need you to register for my VM again here https://www.virginmedia.com/my-virgin-media You may have to use a new email address as the original email address may still be tied to the old account. Please let us know how you get on and if you need any further help with this.

      Hi, 

      Ideally I would like you use my current email address as I do not want a separate email address just for my Virgin Media account. As I am sure you can understand. 
      If there is anyway of doing that then that would be great.

        In order to look into this for you further, we'll send you a private message on here. Look out for the envelope in the top right-hand corner.

        If you're on a portable device with a smaller screen, click on the icon in the top right-hand corner and select "messages" from the additional menu options.
