Assuming you definitely have a TiVo & not a V6 - check at https://www.virginmedia.com/care/tv-fault/which-tv-box - this sounds like a faulty box to me. No TV box should be frequently restarting of its own accord, but TiVo's are now ~13 years old.
Call in and follow the TV faults route, or wait here a few days for staff to respond, you should get a tech visit. Providing you have VM home broadband, TiVo's are replaced with V6 as a matter of course. Exact same reliable TiVo-software, but much more capable modern hardware with 6 recording tuners and numerous other improvements.
