Moving from TiVo to V6
I am wondering if it's a good idea to now move from a TiVo box to a V6. This is because I'm finding trying to watch tennis on iPlayer incredibly frustrating as it keeps buffering and stopping/starting. I'm wondering if a newer V6 would stop this from happening?
I'm a long-term Virgin customer so I'm thinking moving to a V6 will not cost extra?
I have a long-term chronic illness which causes severe fatigue and brain fog. Just trying to word this message is extremely stressful and exhausting.
I'm worried about how difficult changing to a V6 will be.
Please whoever answers this: can you make your reply as straightforward as possible. Thanks!
The short answer is that a V6 is unequivocally an upgrade from a TiVo. Indeed, all faulty TiVo's are now replaced with V6 as a matter of course, providing you have VM home broadband.
TiVo boxes & V6 boxes both run TiVo software, but the V6 is a much newer box - it's quicker, it's more capable, has more recording tuners, and runs more apps better than the TiVo.
You may be getting confused with a TV360 which runs different software and is fundamentally not TiVo. Whether that is an upgrade from a TiVo/V6 is open to discussion.
