Virgin Media Disabling Landline – Avoiding Unwanted Charges
Just a heads-up for anyone dealing with Virgin Media service changes!
Virgin Media has decided to turn off my telephone landline from 3rd March 2025. Given my previous experience with unexpected charges when they reconnected my broadband (after mistakenly disconnecting it), I’ve decided not to contact them to fix the landline—I don’t want to risk receiving another Service Change Receipt and being billed for something I didn’t ask for.
If you're in a similar situation, be cautious when requesting any fixes or reinstatements, as Virgin Media may treat it as a "service change" and charge you for it.
