Reduce ring count before landline voicemail kicks in?

Good afternoon,

How can I reduce the number of rings to 5 before voicemail kicks in on my Virgin Media landline?

Currently, it appears to be 10 rings and feedback received is that callers think there is no voicemail option & just hang up.

Can I change the ring count myself to 5, or this this something the VM support team can help with?

Thanks,

Alan

  • Hi,

I need ot do this as well please - to cut it down to two rings.  I called 150 and they said it couldn't be done, it clearly can.   Help please.

      Hi metalmartin 👋

Thanks for your quick responses to my private message. I'm glad we have been able to reduce the number of rings before your Landline Voicemail service cuts in. For others who may wish to do a similar thing, please be aware that the number of rings we can set may differ depending on your area, or current Landline services with us.

Please do let us know if you need anything else, and we'll be happy to assist.

      Thanks,

        On our wavelength

Hi I tried to set my voicemail up this morning by calling 1571. It seemed to do something, but when I ring my number it just rings and rings and the voicemail doesn't kick in at all. Could someone look into this for me? Also I would like the number of rings before it kicks in to be as low as possible, since my landline was switched over to the fibre the ringer on my phone does not sound at all so I will just use the landline for taking messages.
