Porting my current Vodafone landline number to my new Virgin Media landline

Can anyone help me with porting my current Vodafone landline phone number to my new Virgin Media landline? When I took out the new Virgin Media package the agent said that it would be possible to port my existing landline number but I am really struggling with Customer Services to find anyone who will take ownership of managing the porting process. My Vodafone landline will be disconnected later this month on 19/06. My two most recent calls to Customer Services ended with promises of callbacks but I didn’t receive a callback! Very frustrating!!

    If the number is important to you, you would be far better off porting it to an independent VOIP provider where it would be safe regardless of the broadband provider you are using.
