Porting BT virgin media?

Hi,

We have recently moved home, Virginmedia move was successful including moving our old number to our new address, is it possible to do the following?

We would like to port the existing BT number at our new property to our Virginmedia service, once this is complete we would then give up our old number.

    Yes, and the phone would be delivered via VM's hub as VoIP. Also this would be a change of contract if you don't already have a bundle with a phone - but you might even find the cost to be very low.
