Phone line always engaged?

This evening I have gone to use my landline and whenever I dial out to a landline it rings and as soon as the other person answers it goes to an engaged tone! 
When I phone a mobile it just has an engaged tone as soon as it starts to ring! 

I am connected into the back of the hub with the adapter, I have rebooted the hub a couple of times and also tried a corded phone, but still end up with the same end result! 
My parents live a few doors up and also on virgin with no problems! 

any ideas?

    Hey Pumba,

    Welcome to the Community Forums and thanks for the post.

    Sorry to hear you have been having this issue with your Landline, can you confirm with this, have you rebooted the Hub and tried a different landline in the hub to see if this fixes this at all?

    The problem has resurfaced, I have called on my mobile, been in conversation for 45min on my mobile and they got me to reset my hub, said they would call back ….. and nothing! So Frustrating
