Landline telephony from Hub 5x

Hi all, had fibre to the premise (FTTP) broadband installed two weeks ago.  Seems okay so far.

Telephony is disabled.  Have searched the website and asked the Bots but had not luck.  Can anyone point me to:

  • What the fees are.
  • What the process is to get it enabled.
  • What are the implications of making this change for existing internal wiring and analogue handset?

Thanks for any reply.

  • When landline is enabled you connect your handset to the hub's TEL 1 port via a VM-supplied adapter. If you want a connection to existing wiring a VM tech will do this FOC.

    1) on VM can give you a price and you must phone, VM staff on the board cannot do this

2&3) all conversions are at present on hold.

"If you want a connection to existing wiring a VM tech will do this FOC." from you description and having a Hub5x I presume you do not currently have a VM landline, perhaps BT or another. In this case VM would not touch the existing wiring as it’s not theirs.
