Landline switch to digital

I’ve noticed my landline isn’t working - just has a constant screeching sound - which having followed the troubleshooting steps suspect is the wiring in/into the socket. Account states no problems with line.

Received the email about the digital switchover ages ago but not yet enabled - wondering if it is possible to request a switchover to resolve the issue.

Website has no details and chat can’t do anything for landline other than point to the website or provide a phone number. Whilst accept most people have another phone it’s an interesting approach to point to a phone number when you’ve already said the phone isn’t working 🤔

Is there any option to request a digital switchover?

    Sorry to hear about this issue with your landline service! We'd like to help get this sorted for you. 

    In terms of the landline switchover, there's more information that can be found about this 👉 here . The entire network is switching over to digital, but you are notified as an individual customer, and sent an adapter when this will be happening for you. It may be that we identify a fault with your service, and the engineer advises we should switch you over to help resolve any issues. We will let you know following some further investigation into the fault via PM.
