Landline phone switchover to fibre not working
On 16/01/2026, I received an email saying: "Your home phone’s been switched to our fibre network" and to connect my DECT phone to the Virgin Media Hub 4 using the adapter VM had sent over earlier. I did that and I restarted the Hub.
My phone reports there is no line connected. I've tried restarting the Hub 4 several times. I've tried switching from Telephone port 1 to 2 at the back of the Hub 4 and it doesn't make a difference.
There is no phone signal coming from the broadband Hub.
The Hub 4 is in modem mode. All the connections are correct. The phone is connected to the adapter, which is connected to phone port 1 on the Hub 4. I have turned the Hub off and on, I have reset it, I have followed instructions on the VM website, but nothing at all works. There is no phone signal coming from the broadband Hub. Any suggestions other than phoning VM and reporting a fault? Many thanks.
