landline has no ring tone and is saying line is in use - its not - it also shows a green tick

Land line has no ring tone and when I check status on line it shows a green tick saying no issues.  I tried to phone but was met with poor communication and poor connection.

In joining this site to get some help, I now have a second problem which I've been trying to resolve for many many months possibly years, my ntl email is greyed out, this sight wouldn't send the verification email to it.

I've been with you a very very long time and I'm so frustrated by the poor, intermittent service, but your customer service is the worst.
