Home phone always slightly broken up

Any suggestions how I can fix. Using cordless BT phones. Also the same on my mobile when on WiFi calling.

  • Hi there TAC123

Thank you so much for your post and welcome back to the forums, it's great to have you here.

I am so sorry to hear that you are facing this issue with your phone line! Can I just confirm is it giving a broken dial tone or just when making calls?

Is the phone connected at the Hub? If so are any other pieces of equipment attached here? Have you been able to try another phone on the line at all?

  • Hi, than you for the reply. The  dial tone is normal so just when making calls. Only used this wireless BT phone but 2 handsets that do the same thing. Phone is connected directly at the hub, the hub connects to some sort splitter. Thanks

Thank you for popping back and confirming for me TAC123

Can I ask if you have tried a pin hole reset on the Hub? To do this push a pen etc into the reset hole at the back of the Hub and hold in for 30 seconds. This will cause a full factory reset so if you have changed any of the Hub details such as the WiFi name or password they will revert to the original on the Hub label but you can reset these after.

Can you try this for us and let us know how things are looking after?

Hi, I could do that but have done that lots of times as the broadband kept dropping out. It never improved the phone line. It’s always been like this. We have WiFi boosters to make the internet better but the WiFi has never been great but the wired internet has generally been fine.
