Forced to include a landline- why ?

After a lengthy and frustrating attempt to renew my shortly expiring contract and just get the services I actually use, unsuccessful as ended up paying more with unwanted service still included, (only after being quoted a ridiculous price just to keep my broadband connection) and access the various tv services as and when required, I find I still have a landline, which has not worked for several months so I wanted to remove it.Having never been offered the new digital service I eventually got a reply after 35 minutes from an "agent" based on Pacific Island who has promised to organise this, but will have to avoid making long calls or being "on hold" due to the frightful cost, when one call costs more that a month of unlimited calls. texts and adequate data on a mobile phone.

It is part of the worsening fly paper approach that VM use.

Get you started on every service and then make it quite impossible to unpick the bundle.
